Today we learned about assessment in mathematics. I learned about how children are assessed and that its primary purpose is to improve learning.
I solved a problem, 2cmx2cm cube ,painted red, how many 1cm faces of the cube are covered? I would have children do this problem in the primary grades. It is problem-based, no instruction,no example, work through, and ask why do you think that problem?
I had fun and would use this problem in my classroom.
